About the Author
Rebecca K. Miller is head of library learning services at the Pennsylvania State University. Along with Heather Moorefield-Lang and Carolyn Meier, she has coauthored two books published by ALA Editions, coauthored a previous issue of Library Technology Reports, and copresented numerous presentations, webinars, and workshops on the topic of tablets and mobile devices in libraries.
Heather Moorefield-Lang is an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina in the School of Library and Information Science. She is the chair of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Best Websites for Teaching and Learning Committee. Her research is focused on technology integration in education and libraries.
Carolyn Meier is a learning services librarian and coordinates first-year instruction in Newman Library at Virginia Tech. She has an EDS in instructional technology from Virginia Tech. A past cochair of the Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) Transition to College Committee, her work and research interests focus on information literacy, assessment, and new methods for improving instruction and finding new technologies to reach students.
