About the Author

Geoff Reiss is Senior Architect with Program Management Group plc. He has extensive experience in the construction industry and has grown into the project management specialism over a varied career.

Paul Rayner After an early career with IBM in Australia Paul Rayner began a lifelong interest in the best ways of managing large scale corporate projects. He was a Commercial Projects Manager for Cybernet Timesharing in the 70’s, and principle of Great Northern Computer Services. After gaining his MBA he joined Logica plc as a Management Consultant, where he worked until his retirement in 2011. He chaired the Association for Project Management’s Programme Management Group, wrote the APM Introduction to Programme Management, and co-authored the Gower Handbook of Programme Management (2006).

He worked extraordinarily hard to improve approaches to portfolio and programme management, cheerfully giving his time to speak at events throughout the world. He was also a committed family man who took great pride in supporting the achievements of his three children. When he knew he was dying of cancer, he was determined to finish Portfolio and Programme Management Demystified, which he wanted to dedicate to them. He died, aged 64, in August 2011.

Donnie MacNicol Utilising his extensive PM experience across multiple industries Donnie leads consultancy, training, facilitation and mentoring assignments for global companies and government departments in developing project and programme leadership. Donnie chaired the Association for Project Management People Specific Interest Group for 10 years to 2011, is a Visiting Fellow at Kingston Business School, an individual member of the Acumen7 professional network and Partner at Synatus.

One of two recommended books on Program Management

Would Buy Again. One of two recommended books on Program Management, the other is Program Management (Fundamentals of Project Management) Michel Thiry. I really find it annoying that you have to keep typing until you have twenty five words in these reviews. I would be inclined to fill out mofe if they would take off this requirement.

About the Author
Gordon Brown was a Professor of Paralegal Studies at North Shore Community College in Danvers, Massachusetts and is now retired.

Scott Myers has a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and an M.A. from Rutgers Graduate School. He has been the Director of Paralegal Studies at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. for the past 22 years, administering the program while teaching a variety of courses, including Wills, Trusts, and Estates, Introduction to Law, Legal Research and Writing, and Business Law. The program earned American Bar Association approval in 1988, and has maintained this approval since that date. Scott Myers is also a sole practitioner of law, with his current practice limited to wills and estate planning.

Okay, it is just a text book. And I wish it had been available has a true downloadable book, taking notes from it was ridiculous due to the copy/paste restrictions, but the content was interesting and well presented. If you are on the way to being a law geek, this is an easy to understand, well-presented text book.

A gem of a collection

I am a high school choral director so I am quite familiar with Mr. Hogan's choral arrangements. When I saw this product, I figured I should give it a try. The settings of the spirituals are spectacular. The vocal lines are simply beautiful, filled with lyric, emotional power. Accompanists will love these arrangments as well. They are challenging enough for an intermediate player but offer enough freedom for the accomplished musician to augment as she or he sees fit. I have sung some of these songs in sacred and secular environments and the reaction to them has been enthusiastic, to say the least. I attribute that more to the arrangements than my performance! If you love to sing spirituals, this collection needs to be in your library.

Buy it, play it, sing it - you will be glad you did!

This is a truly wonderful song collection. VERY well written.
The accompaniment is lovely, very pianistic, rich and unique. I accompany myself when I sing, and it is truly a pleasure to play these beautiful, flowing songs. Interesting brief interludes between "verses" that are not only interesting to hear, but good opportunities for the singer to prepare. The vocal part is excellent for a soprano voice! Quite a few high B flats, and some lower parts as well, down to a B flat below middle C ... nice tessitura for me, as well. These songs are versatile, most could be done at any time of the year. Give Me Jesus and Deep River are nice selections for funeral services, or just anytime.
Highly recommended!

About the Author

Over the last 40 years, Jonathan Dancy has become one of his generation's most influential moral philosophers. He has authored five books and edited or co-edited five others. His work has shaped developments in metaethics, normative ethics, and the philosophy of action. In this volume, an internationally-renowned cast of contributors get to grips with these developments. In the course of his distinguished career, Dancy has held permanent posts at Keele, Reading, and Texas, and visiting appointments at a number of universities, including Pittsburgh and Oxford.

David Bakhurst is John and Ella G. Charlton Professor of Philosophy at Queen's University, Canada. He is the author of Consciousness and Revolution in Soviet Philosophy (CUP, 1991) and The Formation of Reason (Wiley-Blackwell, 2011), and co-editor of The Social Self (with Christine Sypnowich; Sage, 1995) and Jerome Bruner: Language, Culture, Self (with Stuart Shanker; Sage, 2001).

Brad Hooker is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Reading. He is the author of Ideal Code, Real World (OUP, 2000), and editor of Developing Deontology (Wiley-Blackwell, 2012); Truth in Ethics (Blackwell, 1996); and Rationality, Rules, and Utility: New Essays on the Moral Philosophy of Richard Brandt (Westview Press, 1993). He has also co-edited several volumes, including Moral Particularism (with Margaret Olivia Little; OUP, 2000) and Well-Being and Morality: Essays in Honour of James Griffin (with Roger Crisp; OUP, 2000).

Babel Codex

This book may be free and have fewer pages but was still enjoyable.For those that don't know Alex Archer is a pen name.Each author has his/her own way of writing. I prefer Annja as a confident character, as sometimes some of the authors make her a bit week.In this book she is back to her confident self. For me the only flaw is the book could have had a bit more exciting ending.Overall would still recommend.

I greatly enjoy all of the Rogue Angel books and hope that they continue.I am very interested in both history and archeology and these books use both has the background of the story.It is also the fact that the main character is female and is able to take care of herself and defend herself when needed.(she did this before she received the sword but that has make her more powerful.

Very different author leads to a different emphasis in this one

This short story falls at 43.5 in the Rogue Angel urban fantasy series and revolves around Annja Creed, an archeologist who wields the sword of Joan of Arc.

My Take
A very different author for this particular one, as he allows us to know too much about how Braden feels about Annja. There's a weird vibe at the end---too homey for words.

Burris is such an American, not realizing people might actually shoot at him and being so oblivious to the dangers into which he's thrown Annja.

Sneaky woman! LOL, I do love how Annja got away from Braden! And that bit about her husband paying for it...too funny.

It's fast-paced Saturday-afternoon-at-the-movies and much more simplistic compared to the earlier Rogue Angel stories, although part of me preferred this one's style.

The Story
Doug's always open to upping the ratings on Annja's episodes, but Burris is beyond the pale with his jokes and pranks. It's payback when one rebounds upon him.

Meanwhile, Garin is having fun taking one of his ships back from Somali pirates, and Roux has run from a poker tournament to come to Annja's aid.

The Characters
Annja Creed is an independent archeologist who also hosts a television show, Chasing History's Monsters. Kristie Chatham is her co-host and inclined to fall out of her clothes. Her producer, Doug Morrell, has set her up with Burris Coronet, a thirty-nine-going-on-five, popular Los Angeles radio talk show shock jock. Burris accepted the deal to get away from his ex-wife's boyfriend's dad.

Roux had been a knight while Garin Braden had been his squire back in 1431 as they watched their charge burn at the stake. Now they are at cross-purposes with each other as each wants the sword Annja holds for their own purposes. Friedrich is part of Garin's private army, DragonTech Security. Evander is the rocket man.

Cybele Coelho is a friend of Annja's and a professor of linguistics at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janiero.

Professor Vittorio Sordi of the Universit� degli Studi di Milano is heading up the dig in Addis Ababa. Father Louay is one of the guides at the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East.

Rafik Bhalla is a former "priest at the Syriac Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Addis Ababa, now he's an art dealer and relic hunter". Tadesse is one of Rafik Bhalla's thugs. Dawit is a marketer with an eye for the main chance.

Back story�of the novel...

This story began as a dream I had- complete with names and one of the most disturbing scenes. It would probably be better to describe it more as a nightmare. Coupled with my dream is the prevalence of domestic violence in Australian society and the sad fact that I have a few friends who've been in similar controlling and abusive situations. I also had a brush with my own "Brendan" in my late teens before I found my husband. It's an all too common situation and unless you've been in it, people find it hard to understand the complexities of your emotions and denials--and the reasons why people stay. I wanted to try to explain why women (and men) stay in situations that are obviously not good for them, and in some cases life-threatening, without romanticising it or redeeming the "bad guy".

From the Inside Flap
The same three questions keep coming up in reviews so I want to address them, once and for all.�The first is why Lainey didn't simply tell her father, Mik, or the Club what was going on.�The easy answer is PRIDE. She is a proud woman; someone who prides herself on her ability to take care of her brothers, her father, and Mik. Brendan hones in on this "weakness" and uses it against her. He takes her need to minimise the pain and suffering of her family and turns it into the leverage he needs to gain control of her.�She won't tell because since her mother's death she's been the one to look after everyone else. She is completely unable to ask for help because it goes against fibre of her being to be the cause of drama in her family."Pride comes before the fall" is a very common saying and it sums up Lainey very well. She lets ego and the need to be seen as omnipotent get in the way of what should be a simple decision to ask from help. Her abuser taps into her Achilles heel and uses it against her; just like abusers do in real life. Those thoughts were the driving force behind this passage...�
Every ounce of logic I possess tells me that I should run to Mik, longing filling me at the thought of finding comfort in his arms. But Brendan's words echo through my head, stopping me. Mik's going to hate me if he finds out what happened. How used, disgusting, and broken I am now. He begged me not go tonight, and I didn't listen.
Even if Mik�doesn't�blame me, will telling him keep me safe and end this nightmare? Or will it just give Brendan the ammunition he needs to hurt everyone I love? Mik was ready to hurt him for pushing me over tonight--I know he'll kill him for raping me. Mik's tough, he's strong and deadly, but Brendan's proven that he's pure evil. I can't take the risk that Mik will end up in jail if I drag him into this mess. With what he did to me tonight, Brendan made it clear that he's not scared of the Black Shamrocks, and that he has no respect for what they stand for.
�And the pictures he says he has of Benji? I doubt he's lying. Exposing my twin's drug use would wreck his dream career before it's even begun. He's already finding it hard to get teams to take him seriously because our father is a member of an "Outlaw"Motorcycle Club. Drug use would be the final straw.
Everything spins around my mind, fighting to be heard. Dad's disappointment. Wendy's pity. Mik's changed view of me. Benji's broken dreams. And my little brothers...God, my little brothers.
Leaning my head against the steering wheel, tears streaming down my cheeks as the loneliness of my predicament sinks in, I make a decision.�I can't let anyone else get hurt because of a monster I brought into our lives.�It's smarter and safer for me to keep everything to myself until I can fix the problem�I've�created. My mission is to find the photos of Benji and get Brendan out of my life--out of everyone's life.
Choice made, I pull back on to the highway and drive out the other side of town toward my home.
The long answer to the question involves the cycle of abuse. By the time Lainey has realised what's going on in her relationship with Brendan, he's already well into the humiliation and limiting independence phase of domestic violence. Her confidence in herself is shot, and she has been worn down to such a degree that she is unwilling to tell anyone what's going on for fear that they're going to blame her for it all...like Brendan does, already.�It's a vicious cycle and one that looks so simple to break from the outside. People who've never experienced it do not understand why the person being abused refuses to take that one step that will put an end to the horror. The answer is not that they don't want to; they simply can't. They basically can't see the forest for the trees and without a large and loyal support system they'll never be able to.�This question is the one that drove me to write this story. I hope you'll keep this information at the forefront of your thoughts; especially when you feel like throttling Lainey for not doing what you would :-)The second question revolves around the fact that Mik didn't rush in and save Lainey like an "alpha" should.�In regards to Mik saving her, he cut himself off from her for the four worst months of her relationship with Brendan. This was due to his own insecurities that he wasn't good enough for her. Which is addressed in chapter twelve with this passage.
�
"Why?�Is it because he's fucking rich? Because of his famous last name? Because he treats you like a fucking piece of shit and you secretly get off on it?" I ask her,�eye balling�her with fury. I want fucking answers. "Or is it because I'm a fucking�dumb ass�biker who you're too good for?"
The last question is my biggest fear. Lainey's so fucking smart and beautiful, too good for the likes of me, but I didn't think shit like that mattered to her. Obviously I was wrong.
"It's not like that," she cries. "It's complicated..."
"It�wasn't�complicated when I was fucking you last night, when you came all over my fingers and my fucking cock. It wasn't complicated when you gave me your virginity. And it definitely wasn't complicated when you told me that you fucking love me."
My voice is getting louder and louder. We're gonna have an audience to witness my fucking humiliation if I don't get away from her soon.
Grabbing my arm again, she begs. "Please, Mik. I can't explain right now. I need time."
Ripping my arm away from her, I throw my hands in the air. "You know what, little girl?" I sneer at her, turning my pain into anger. The need to hurt her like she's hurting me overtakes me. "It's all good, I don't need your bullshit explanations. I won't lie, I enjoyed being your first fuck, but I prefer playing with women, not little girls. So run along and enjoy your life with Prince fucking Charming."
When her expression fills with pain at my words, my heart skips a beat. It kills me to see my lies hurt her. Turning my back on her, I'm heading for the closed door when she whispers so quietly that I almost don't hear her words. "I do love you.�Please believe me. I just need time."

PLEASE NOTE: I wrote this story with the intentions that Lainey wasn't going to be miraculously rescued by the alpha, although that seems to be the expectation that most of the reviewers that are critical of Mik not jumping in with some telepathic sixth sense of what was happening when Lainey was going to deliberate lengths to keep it from everyone.

The third and final question that seems to keep popping up is�"Why didn't Benji step up to help her?".�In regards to Benji (her twin) voicing his objections to Brendan, yet not taking action to put a stop to the relationship, it's alluded to in Seizing Control that he's in the beginnings of his spiral into drug addiction and that they have more of a pseudo-mother/son relationship. Even though they are the same age, Lainey took on a more nurturing role in their relationship after their mother died, and because of this, she doesn't listen to him or respect his thoughts as much as she should. Their relationship is explored in further depth in book three of the Black Shamrocks MC series, Seeking Redemption.

Ok story on repeat.

I wish I wasn't as disappointed with this book as I am. It started out pretty good, but going from present day to years ago, back to the present, just to jump back made the book a little hard to read. Once the memories stopped, it was easier to follow.
As far as the characters were, they were stereotypical MC characters. Madeleine "Maddi/Lainey" is a MC club princess, thanks to her daddy. Mikhail "Mik" is the all-around bad boy biker.
Two-thirds into the book, I wondered aloud if Lainey was ever going to get a break. It was like the story was on repeat, and it was the third time reading the SAME situation in the story. Also, there were some sentences at the end of paragraphs that appeared to be cut off.

In the present, Madelaine "Lainey" O'Brien, daughter of the Black Shamrocks MC president is engaged to Mik "Mad Dog" Kennedy, alpha and VP of the club. In the past, Lainey's boyfriend, Brendan, was a controlling, manipulative and violent monster and that monster is returning to threaten her present.

We learn what happened to Lainey in the past through a series reoccurring flashbacks. Do take the trigger warnings seriously as there are graphic depictions of violence and rape. Usually I'm not overly fond of stories where there is a lot of jumping between the past and the present, but it was well-done here and I thought it worked unusually well for the story.

Overall the book was very well-written, with a suspenseful plot and interesting characters and Irish/Gaelic touches that added some nice flavor to the story. While we are left with questions which I expect will be resolved in the continuing books in the series, there isn't a true cliffhanger. There were a few times when I felt we were being told what happened instead of shown, most notably in the epilogue, and times I thought the characters were a little inconsistent, but still this is a sold, 4 star read for me, and I will be looking forward to more books in this series and from this author.

Gripping must read...

I received a gifted ecopy of this book.

Love love loved it. Wow, this book was amazing.

I loved the way the author told this story, going from past to present and alternating POV's made this a really great read. There are so many books out there where the characters have huge dark secrets and the author uses that to build the intensity, this story is very different, you know all along what's happening, but the suspense and intensity is there in bucket loads.

The story gripped me from the first word, and I didn't want to put it down until I was finished. I loved all the characters in this book, good and bad, as without them the story wouldn't be what it is.

The main characters in this book are Lainey and Mik, Lainey is a fighter, full of spirit and determined not to let what happened in her past rule her, she is fiercely loyal and when she loves someone she loves them hard. Mik is our hot alpha male biker, loyalty is second nature to him, he is overprotective of those he loves and will do what it takes to protect Lainey and his MC club, even if it means losing his heart.

This book is a must read if you ask me, and I am looking forward to more from this series.

Transcendental Mathematics VS Transcendental Empiricism

Would you like to become a more intelligent person? If your answer is yes, then these are the books for you. I'm dead serious when I say that I've learned more from reading these books for just a few short years than I did during the entirety of my life prior to finding these amazing books.

You see, within these books are contained all of THE ANSWERS to life's deepest and most profound questions. I wrote "the answers" in caps because I want to emphasize that these books contain the actual, definitive, precise, analytic, a priori, eternal, rational, ontological mathematical answers to existence; this means that these books contain the True answers to existence, i.e., the ONLY answers to existence. I'm using the word "answers" to show that ALL of life's most profound question are answered in these books but, as you read and study these books for yourself, you will soon discover that the word I should be using is the word "answer" in its singular form, not its plural form. There is only ONE answer to life, mind, and everything, and that answer is known as The God Equation, i.e. Ontological Mathematics, i.e. Pythagorean Illuminism.

This book - "Transcendental Mathematics" - is the newest addition to the most profound series of books EVER written. This book series is titled "The God Series" and it's written by the Pythagorean Illuminati. If you're unfamiliar with who the Illuminati are, what they stand for, and what they're trying to accomplish, then you must read these books as soon as you can. You can also check out the Illuminati's vast website at: armageddonconspiracy.co.uk, it's packed with True Knowledge and will also teach you about the history of this enigmatic secret society.

In a nutshell though, the Illuminati are working to bring about the advent of a new world predicated on Hyperreason. What is Hyperreason? Hyperreason is all about knowing the True workings of the Universe and using that profound Knowledge to design and build a human society that reflects, 100%, these True Universal workings. We truly can build a heaven on Earth that perfectly reflects the modus operandi of the Universe; in fact the Illuminati have already designed this type of a society, it's called Meritocracy and it's now our collective task, as rational people, to effectuate the design.

If you haven't read any of "The God Series" yet then I wouldn't start with this book. This is the 25th title in "The God Series" and--even though the authors do an excellent job at recapitulating the key aspects of Ontological Mathematics in each and every book in the series--I personally think you would be best off beginning with book 1 of "The God Series", titled "The God Game", and then proceed by reading the books in the order the authors intended. Reading the books in this manner will help you understand the entirely unique information contained within them.

Once you begin studying these books, you will quickly come to the realization that they are the only books that you truly need. These books take every single ideology humanity has ever invented and exposes them all to the light of Hyperreason. Hyperreason destroys ideologies that contain too many irrationalities and it rectifies ideologies that contain enough rational aspects to be salvaged. Hyperreason fixes everything. This is why these are truly the only books (along with mathematics textbooks of course) that we as rational people need. The authors of these books are saving us all from a tremendous amount of work by winnowing away, and correcting, every single irrationality contained within every single ideology and, simultaneously, showing us the only True, Hyperrational ideology of Illuminism/Ontological Mathematics. As I said above, Illuminism is the only True ideology because it's the ONLY ideology that reflects Hyperreason, i.e. the only ideology that reflects the True workings of the Universe.

This leads me into the newest book by the Pythagorean Illuminati--"Transcendental Mathematics". Transcendental Mathematics is synonymous with Ontological Mathematics, Hyperrationalism, and Pythagorean Illuminism. Transcendental Mathematics is also a play on the name Immanuel Kant gave to his philosophy, which he called Transcendental Idealism. As will be proven to you in this book, Kant should have termed his philosophy Transcendental Empiricism.

In "Transcendental Mathematics", the Illuminati deconstruct the towering philosophical genius Immanuel Kant's philosophy and then expose it to the light of Hyperreason. Using pure hyperreason = ontological mathematics, the Illuminati rectify all of the irrationalities contained within Kant's system. With his irrationalities all fixed up, we find that his system, like all salvageable systems exposed to the light of Hyperreason, conforms to the one and only True system of ontological mathematics. This is because ontological mathematics is pure, unadulterated reason (i.e. hyperreason), and when all of the irrationalities are ironed out of any system, said system will ipso facto become Ontological Mathematics; this is as true of the beautiful systems of the philosophical geniuses of the past as it is for any system of thought.

I enjoyed this book immensely. Not only did it allow me to learn even more about ontological mathematics, but I learned more about the philosophy of Immanuel Kant than I ever have previously. I enjoy reading and learning about the great philosophers of the past, and Kant was definitely one of them. He was able to get close to ontological mathematics and, as the Illuminati show, his philosophy can be turned into ontological mathematics with a few mathematical adjustments. Like almost everyone else, Kant just didn't fully understand the True, ontological mathematical nature of existence. Luckily for us humans living on contemporary Earth, the Pythagorean Illuminati have supplied us with this exact, ontological mathematical Truth of the Universe, and there should be no more confusion once all rational people discover, and begin studying, the material contained within these books. Once that happens, humanity can finally begin its collective journey towards enlightenment.

The authors of "The God Series" writing is better than ever in this book (and that's saying a lot because their writing is ALWAYS preeminent). These three authors write at an unbelievable pace and at an unbelievable level of excellence, and we should all be striving to emulate their work ethic. They are truly the epitome of Meritocrats and teachers and I am grateful everyday for the work that they do and, additionally, that I was able to discover their work.

Everything you've come to love about these books continues in "Transcendental Mathematics" so, the bottom line is, if you've been reading these books up to this point then you've got to read "Transcendental Mathematics", it will help you move one step closer to solving your own Transcendental Mathematical Equation and, ipso facto, it will move you one step closer to attaining Gnosis. If you haven't been reading these books but are interested in them, simply purchase your first book in "The God Series" today and begin your journey to Ontological Mathematical Divinity; these books are that powerful.

best book on Immanuel Kant in the best modern mathematicist rationalist idealist philosophy series

This is the best (along with his others and those of the two associated writers) introductory modern series on rationalist idealism in Classical Greek & Cartesian & German Idealist philosophy & postmodernism, including Pythagoreanism/Illumination, Platonism, Hermetism, Gnosticism, Leibnizianism, Hegelianism, formal & natural & social science, religion, and the arts, in this case such as mathematics/mathematicism, and more in-depth philosophy analysis, mostly of Immanuel Kant. This is the best series that explains reality more clearly than anything else, and though I've only academically been a very amateur philosopher and thought book #6 basically answered everything (in general), so I admit I had to speed-read it, it's perhaps the best academic-level philosophy ebook in the series (in addition to one getting heavily into Plato's _Timaeus_, which I've forgotten where in the series), and the best introduction and overview and commentary on Kant.

Guys, this is the only way I am ware of to keep in contact with you and let you know that the Amazon service that should let me know when you release a book is extremely bad (always late, sometimes nothing), so I am sorry if I don't buy your books when they get published. Keep going please, you are my fil rouge. This book is part of the series which paves the way to enlightnment and propose Math as the only game in town. Do not miss it.
